How to Juice Cleanse
There are mixed opinions on the health benefits of juice cleanses; personally I love them. While cleansing, your body rids any built up toxins and replaces it with nutrients and antioxidants consumed directly from the fruit and veggies. This helps jumpstart any weight loss regime and promotes a healthy lifestyle change by helping to retain your tastebuds and any psychological connection you may have to food.
Pre Juice Cleanse
Drink at least 8 glasses of water minimum three days prior to starting your cleanse. Now is the time to start eliminating excess caffeine, animal produce, as well as fatty, unhealthy and processed foods.
During Juice Cleanse
Start your day with warm water and lemon. Lemon water is a great lover stimulant that begins the cleansing process before you take your first sip of juice. You should make drinking lemon water in the a.m. a ritual even after your juice cleanse is complete. During your cleanse it is also important to stay on schedule with your juices. Be sure to drink a juice ever 2 to 2.5 hours with at least 6-8 juices per day. Skipping juices or not drinking enough will make your blood sugar crash and leave you hungry.
Post Juice Cleanse
Gradually return back to eating solid foods. The first day after your cleanse, try to only eat organic fruits and vegetables similar to your pre cleanse regime. I would recommend drinking smoothies on this day. On the second day after your cleanse it is safe to add in whole wheat grains, eggs and dairy. Five to six days after our cleanse it is sad to add in poultry or fish to your diet.
